Online retail giant Amazon has unveiled the latest version of its bestselling Kindle e-reader, which comes with a host of new products for consumers.
The Kindle Paperwhite comes with a built-in light, faster processor and boasts several innovative features including Kindle Page Flip, Smart Lookup, Kindle FreeTime, Goodreads and Vocabulary Builder.
On top of this, the e-reader comes with new display technology including a higher contrast, as well as the latest touch technology. Consumers looking to get their hands on this product can pre-order it from today (September 4th).
Commenting on the product's launch, Jeff Bezos - founder and chief executive officer of Amazon - said: "Kindle is the best-selling e-reader in the world for six years running.
"No one is investing on behalf of readers or pushing the boundaries of hardware, software and content for readers like this team: the new Kindle Paperwhite has brand-new display technology … Kindle MatchBook, Kindle Owners’ Lending Library, over 400,000 exclusive titles, Goodreads, Kindle Singles, Kindle Worlds, Kindle FreeTime and much more."
Additional features offered by the new product include Kindle Page Flip, which allows users to skim page-by-page, scan by chapter or skip to the end of their book without losing their original place.
Goodreads Integration is another new aspect, combining the world's largest e-reading community of book lovers. Here, consumers can join over 20 million other readers and see what they are reading, while sharing highlights and rating books you finish.
The product also includes features that helped make the Kindle become the best-selling e-reader in the world for six years running. These include a staggering eight weeks of battery life, as well as built-in Wi-Fi and free 3G.
Users of e-readers and slates are reminded to ensure they take proper care of the devices, as they can be extremely fragile. Browse a selection of cases and covers online with Wrappz today!
